A look at what the Bible says about helping the hungry and how some political movements embrace a different message

“Yeah!” your little MAGA angel yells. “DOGE just shut down USAID!”
First off, your shitty kid probably couldn’t tell you what USAID even is. They heard the talking point, they repeated it, and now they’re smiling like they personally just won the Super Bowl of cruelty. Talk about being a sheeple.
Here’s the reality: celebrating the shutdown of an organization that fights global hunger and disease isn’t just bad policy, it’s sociopathic.
For the folks in the red states: a sociopath shows a lack of empathy, ignores basic moral norms, and doesn’t lose a wink of sleep when their actions hurt others. They exploit, manipulate, and justify cruelty as if it’s a virtue.
So when your “angelic Christian child” cheers the deaths of MILLIONS of children under five, yes, millions, they’re telling you exactly what’s in their heart.
What Jesus Said vs. What MAGA Does.
Let’s ignore New Testament Matthew 25: 35:
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.”
MAGA kiddies loves their Trump Bible photo ops, but when it comes to actually living the words inside, suddenly the pages go blank.
Cheering the closure of USAID is the very definition of sociopathic thinking and the antithesis of Christian New Testament belief.
Let’s look at the FACTS.
Facts: at least 1.9 million people are on the brink of starvation right now. About 139,000 will die each year, adding up to nearly 700,000 in the next five years. A Lancet report warned USAID cuts could contribute to 14.1 million deaths by 2030.
And yet your kid shrugs.
Hey MAGA! We’re a Christian nation, remember?
But your little angel will completely ignore New Testament James 2: 15-16:
“Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?”
Exactly. It’s not good at all.
And don’t try that “we have to take care of our own first” dodge. That line isn’t in the Bible anywhere. It’s just an excuse to feel holy while acting heartless.
Your celebration and refusal to act directly goes against New Testament teaching. You’re justifying sociopathic behavior.

Matthew 14:15–21:
Jesus feeds the five thousand, meeting both the spiritual and physical needs of the crowd.
Your MAGA angel would have told that crowd to get a job.
Luke 3:11 – “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”
Acts 20:35 – Paul quoting Jesus: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Romans 12:13 – “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”
But MAGA’s “Christian” children celebrate the opposite.
World Hunger will be an ongoing issue BECAUSE of MAGA, the self proclaimed Christian religion. International Rescue Committee (IRC) warns that escalating conflict and climate shocks will worsen hunger, with over 1.6 million children projected to suffer from acute malnutrition in 2024-2025 alone. That’s what your shitty little MAGA darlings are celebrating. The very definition of a sociopath.

Hey little MAGA children, your Sunday school bible tells you:
Matthew 25: 36, 40 :
“I was sick and you looked after me… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
So why are you celebrating? Because you’ve been taught to eliminate empathy, the very basis of true Christianity.
USAID’s end will cripple disease prevention and treatment worldwide. Expect the return of deadly outbreaks like cholera. Expect empty clinics with no antibiotics. Expect kids to die, while MAGA claps.
PEPFAR, a program that’s saved 26 million lives, will be gutted. Within three months, nearly 136,000 babies could be born with HIV because their mothers lost access to prevention medicine.
Kids are going to get sick and die and you are celebrating.
The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), which has saved an estimated 26 million lives. The cessation of funding for HIV treatment and prevention is predicted to have immediate and devastating consequences. For example, it is projected that within just three months, nearly 136,000 babies would be born with HIV as pregnant women lose access to transmission prevention medication.
Sociopaths celebrate that.
The absence of USAID-funded disease response teams is already making it harder to contain deadly outbreaks like cholera, according to reports from doctors in the field. Without this support, local clinics are losing access to essential medical supplies, such as antibiotics, leading to preventable deaths.
Luke 10:9:
“Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’”
John 13:14–15:
“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet… I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”
This is Christianity in action, service, compassion, care for the vulnerable. And yet, MAGA trains its kids to turn their backs.
He’s talking about service to your fellow man. Sociopaths turn their back on service, even if it’s one of God’s commands.
The Bottom Line
Cutting USAID means shutting down thousands of clinics, clean water projects, and sanitation sites. Millions will lose access to basic survival needs. Hunger will grow. Diseases will spread.
And the people cheering the loudest? Many will be the same ones clutching their pew Bibles on Sunday morning.
If you call that Christianity, then words have no meaning.
